Meet Dr. Janah Crunk

About Dr. Janah Crunk

Originally from just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, Dr. Crunk became a snow bird and earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology/Pre-veterinary medicine from Florida Atlantic University.

Dr. Crunk then moved to the beautiful Cayman Islands to attend veterinary school at St. Matthew’s University, and then to Athens, Georgia to finish her clinical year at the University of Georgia. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Crunk had her first child, and her husband’s family is what brought her out to California.

Her husband is from Mammoth Lakes and Dr. Crunk spent the first year in California living in Mammoth Lakes, admiring all of the nature and outdoor activities that mountain town has to offer. Dr. Crunk then took a job at Twain Harte Veterinary Hospital to practice general medicine as well as emergency medicine, where she learned from, and was mentored by the great staff there.

Dr. Crunk then had her second child and was again living in Mammoth Lakes, this time with a toddler to take on the lovely long hikes around town. Shortly into motherhood a second time, Dr. Crunk and her husband became owners of Pine Grove Veterinary Clinic. They moved over to Pine Grove in March of 2018, and have been enjoying the area ever since.

While preventative medicine and strengthening the human-animal bond is her passion, Dr. Crunk finds herself drawn to soft tissue surgery, anesthesia, and pain management.

Dr. Crunk’s favorite part of being a general practitioner is the relationships she gets to develop with both her patients and their families, (and of course taking selfies when the moment strikes with her patients).
